• Todd Berge

    Sr. Pastor

Todd serves as the Senior Pastor of the Bridge Church. He married Jeanne, his high school sweetheart in 1986, and together they have four adult children Amanda, Daniel, Rachel and Emma. Jeanne works as a Registered Nurse at Good Shepherd Hospital. Todd committed his life to Jesus Christ at the age of fourteen and soon began serving in the church. After marriage he worked in construction and he and Jeanne volunteered together in youth ministry at the Village Church of Barrington. In 2008, Todd responded to the Lord’s call on his life and began preparations to leave construction and go into ministry full time. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute in 2011 and is presently working toward a Masters of Divinity from Liberty University. In the fall of 2013 he left construction and focused on starting the Bridge Church. Todd is grateful to serve the community of Algonquin and the Bridge Church as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • Mark Lachel

    Associate Pastor

Mark is honored to be serving The Bridge Church as the Student Ministries Pastor and Assistant Associate Pastor. Mark came to know the Lord as a freshman in high school and was discipled by his youth pastor. Soon after he felt a calling to minister to teenagers. He has over twenty years of youth ministry experience and has a degree in Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Youth Ministry and a Minor in Biblical Studies from Trinity International University. Mark has a passion for investing in the lives of students and wants to see them become disciples who make disciples. Mark and his wife, Catie, have been serving together in youth ministry since they met. They have been married for ten years and enjoy playing obscure board games and rooting for the Bears, White Sox and Bulls. Mark is excited to be a part of what God is doing in Algonquin through The Bridge Church.

  • Kelly Kaufmann

    Director of Children’s Ministry

Kelly is honored to serve The Bridge Church as the Director of Children’s Ministries. She and her husband, Mike, have two children in college and one in high school.  Kelly grew up in California. She holds a Bachelor degree in Liberal Studies with a teaching credential in K-12 Education from San Jose State University. Kelly became a believer at the age of 5 and was baptized at the age of 8. Growing up in the church and in a Christian family, she has had many years’ experience as both a student and a leader in ministry. She has a passion for children to come to know and love Jesus as their Savior. It is her desire to lead children in a kid-centered ministry where they dive into the Bible, ask questions, build friendships, and learn to share their faith. She considers it a privilege to support parents as they raise their children to walk with God. For her, the importance of ministry to children is found in Deuteronomy 7:9 -“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.”

  • Hannah Marvel

    Worship Director

Hannah is serving as the Worship Director for the Bridge Church. She grew up in a strong Christian home but it wasn’t until her early teen years that God fully awakened her heart to his majesty and what a life fully devoted to Jesus Christ looked like. It was around that time that Hannah was drawn to helping others see Jesus through the leading of worship. Hannah views the making of music as a very intimate and expressive experience, which causes her to come before the cross of Christ with a vulnerable but freeing openness. Hannah’s passion for worship music flows from the conviction that it is a crucial way to reach the world with the message of Christ and as an open door to connect to people of all different backgrounds to the one true God, Jesus Christ.
