Matthew 21:1-17 | Palm Sunday

May Jesus, our King of kings, make His rule known in your life.

May you echo the crowds as Jesus entered Jerusalem,
who praised and celebrated this King
even though they did not yet know
the nature and scope of His saving plan.

May the glory of our King give you strength
and excite you with reasons to worship
even as we pray for His saving power over our world.

May Jesus’ humility as He draws near to heal us of our sin
give you hope that while we face this present storm and darkness,
Jesus, the ultimate healer of our souls,
will one day make all things new and right.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance to you and give you peace.

2 Timothy 4:1-18 | He is Sufficient

May the sufficiency of our God and His Word be a solid foundation for you this week.

Although your needs today may come in the form
of absent companionships, physical needs, and other temporary things,
may your confidence be found in the fact that your ultimate needs
for the presence of God and the promise of life with Him are secure.

As He goes with you, may the Holy Spirit move in you this week
to preach the truth in the community to which He has called you,
whether it is within your own walls, through a phone, or a screen;
may God’s truth be made known through your life.

May the knowledge of the sole sufficiency of God’s Word
speak peace to your troubled soul,
casting out fear as you are formed by the love
that pours through each page.

May Christ’s all-sufficiency be on display
as He gives you strength to endure the race laid before you,
guiding your feet along the way to the finish line and the crown that awaits you.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance to you and give you peace.

Psalm 145 | All Praise to God our King

May our great God who has blessed us richly
in giving us His love and His grace,
be blessed by our actions as we respond to His character.

May our almighty God who is in control
bring you familiarity in His presence with you
as so many familiar faces and spaces
are absent in our day-to-day lives.

May our God who delights in bringing new life in darkness
lead you towards the ways that your present circumstance
may be used for glorifying His name.

May the God who acts as our great divine parent
bring us, His children, peace in knowing
that He has our greatest good in mind
regardless of the season we might find ourselves in.

In receiving with open hands the goodness of our Lord,
may you, beloved child of God,
be moved to share with others His wondrous works,
allowing His Holy Spirit to direct your steps,
and meditating on His words and ways continually.

May our God who cares for the downcast and hurting
lead you to rejoice in the ultimate healing and satisfaction
that can only be found in Jesus our Lord.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance to you and give you peace.

Luke 6:27-49 | Built on the Solid Foundation

May the Lord our God make us into a community that is built upon love, forgiveness, and obedience.

May Christ’s love for His enemies
be a template for us as we pursue Him,
so that when the world sees us
it would be changed as a result
of having come near to the everlasting love of God.

May our freedom from condemnation
create in us an eagerness to offer forgiveness to others.
In doing this, may the world change as a result
of having encountered the life-altering mercy of God.

May our lives be built upon the solid foundation of God’s Word,
so that with our lives shaped by our obedience to Him,
the world would yearn to be shaped
in the same obedience to our perfect and holy King.

May we be the church as the church is meant to be.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance to you and give you peace.

Luke 5:33-6:11 | Awake to His Reign

May God your Creator
who clothes you in garments of salvation
awaken within you a joy that endures
through every sorrow and hardship.

May the same Spirit that raised Christ from the grave
awaken a new-creation-hope within you
that transforms the way you see every season of this life.

May Jesus our Lord make His reign known to you
so that as you work and as you rest
and as you go about the business of your daily life,
you may see the ways the King is using you
to shape His Kingdom.

May Christ our Ruler shape your heart daily
removing patterns of judgement and pride,
and replacing them with grace and truth
and a Sabbath rest that allows you
to live out His call on your life with love.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance to you and give you peace.

Luke 5:12-32 | Draw Near to the Great Physician

May the God who alone is able
to satisfy your deepest yearnings
move in your heart this week.

May you draw near to a Him with a tenacity
that matches the importance of His role
as the Ruler over your life.

As you pray boldly and seek after Him,
may you know the authority
of the One to whom you draw near,
repenting of the things that hold you back
and accepting the Spirit’s help for your daily walk.

May our great Physician speak
words of grace and truth to you this week,
diagnosing the issues within your heart
and making known your need for His grace
so that you may recognize the true depths
of the grace that He offers you.

May the faithfulness of the Lord
move you to place your faith in Him.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance to you and give you peace.

Luke 5:1-11 | Leaning into Your Calling

May our God, a Friend of sinners,
remind you of His call on your life this week.

May the call to join in with His kingdom-building
(in whatever corner of the kingdom to which you’ve been assigned)
excite and empower you to follow Him,
no matter how large or small the task.

As you hear the call to cast out your net
or lean over the edge of the cliff,
may your faith be firm in the One
who binds all things together
including the ropes you’re hanging onto.

May you know our all-powerful and trustworthy God
who is the One upon whom you can always lean.

May you entrust to Him each day,
abiding in the ways of Jesus
and leaning into the freedom He offers.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance to you and bring you peace.

Luke 4:31-44 | The Voice of Authority

May the One who possesses all authority
be known to you this week.

May you know the One
who created the heavens and the earth
with just a few syllables spoken in darkness;
the One who came as a man
to speak words of life and healing
to the poor and sick and demon-possessed.

May the voice of the Almighty God,
our greatest authority and good shepherd,
be the voice that we seek to hear
and strive to follow always in faith.

May the One who speaks
words of eternal life,
who holds all things together
and pursues you in His love,
be the authority that shapes your path
and motivates each step you take
along the way.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance to you and give you peace.

Luke 4:16-30 | Comfort from our Deliverer

Now may the Lord Jesus Christ be with you
this week as you rest in His glorious salvation,
for Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted,
to comfort all who mourn and to provide
for those who grieve.

As you repent and believe,
Jesus has promised to grant you
a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace both now and forevermore.

Luke 4:1-15 | Facing Temptations

May God Almighty
remind you this week
that He is with you always.

May His presence be a reminder to you
to fill your heart and mind with His ways
so that you may not
encounter temptations in weakness,
but standing on a firm foundation.

May you meditate on God’s Word
so that you are ready
to respond with Scripture
when you are tempted
to let lies win the day.

May you find strength
in the promises of your God,
knowing you are a child of the King,
beloved and held in His grace.

Rather than letting sin
develop roots in your life,
may you abide in the ways of Jesus,
growing in Him
and bearing fruit for the kingdom,
assured that His plan for your life
is the best one.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance to you and give you peace.
