Kids Hope USA is a nonprofit organization that seeks to build life-changing relationships one at a time between students and mentors.

The Bridge partners with Eastview Elementary School through Kids Hope USA’s mentoring program. Volunteers go through an application and interview process, are background checked and trained to be mentors to at-risk children who have been recommended by their teachers. The mentor commitment is for the school year during which mentors meet with students once a week for lunch.

A quote from one of our volunteers:

“I have seen firsthand how a student can benefit. The two students that I had the privilege of mentoring have very difficult family lives. They both, though, were very open to our experience. Through God and the guidance of Kids Hope, I was able to encourage, guide, teach, and provide hope. Together with my students, we were able to discover their talents and gifts and what brought them joy. During each session, we shared a meal, and talked about their favorite moments of the week prior. We wrote stories and poems, we learned about art and science and animals. We created memories that will live always. Each student, for 45 minutes, got my full attention. And each time, I had their full attention. Precious time that all little ones need to build confidence."
